Refund policy
Refund Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to ProfDigital.
In this Refund Policy, “ProfDigital” refers to the website available at https://profdigital.net and the services offered through it. The website and services are operated by River net s.r.o.
This Policy explains when an order may be cancelled, when a refund may be available and how refund requests are reviewed.
This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Use. If any mandatory law gives you rights that are more favourable than this Policy, those legal rights will continue to apply.
2. About Us
ProfDigital is operated by:
River net s.r.o.
Company ID: 23308958

3. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to services purchased directly through the ProfDigital website, including hosting, VPS, VDS, server-related services, SSL certificates and other digital services displayed on the website.
A refund is not automatic simply because a request has been submitted. Each request is reviewed according to:
- the type of service purchased
- whether delivery or configuration has begun
- whether the service has already been activated or used
- whether ProfDigital or a third-party supplier has already incurred costs
- the reason for the request
- our Terms of Use
applicable consumer law.
4. Cancellation Before Service Delivery
You should contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order.
If the service has not yet been delivered, activated, configured or ordered from a third-party supplier, ProfDigital will normally cancel the order and issue a full refund.
A cancellation may no longer be possible where:
- automatic provisioning has already been completed
- server resources have already been allocated
- technical configuration or custom work has begun
- an SSL certificate, licence or other third-party product has already been issued
- the service has already been used
another non-recoverable cost has already been incurred specifically for the order.
Where only part of the service has been provided, ProfDigital may offer a partial refund where appropriate and legally permitted.
5. When a Refund May Be Available
A full or partial refund may be available in the following situations.
5.1 Duplicate payment
You were charged more than once for the same order or the same service period.
5.2 Incorrect payment amount
You were charged an amount that does not match the price confirmed during checkout, except where the difference results from your bank’s currency conversion or fees.
5.3 Service unavailable
ProfDigital accepted payment but is unable to provide the purchased service.
5.4 Service not delivered
You followed the delivery instructions and provided the necessary information, but ProfDigital did not deliver the service within a reasonable period and cannot provide an appropriate alternative.
5.5 Material technical defect
The service has a substantial technical defect, does not materially correspond to its description or cannot be used for its stated purpose due to a problem for which ProfDigital is responsible.
Before approving a refund, we may first attempt to repair, replace, reconfigure or re-deliver the affected service within a reasonable period.
5.6 Order cancelled by ProfDigital
ProfDigital cancelled an accepted and paid order before the service was delivered, unless the cancellation resulted from fraud, unlawful activity or a serious violation of our Terms of Use.
5.7 Mandatory consumer rights
A refund is required under applicable consumer-protection law, including a valid exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal.
6. Situations Where a Refund Is Normally Not Available
Unless required by law, a refund will normally not be issued where:
- the service was delivered and operates substantially as described
- you changed your mind after the service was activated, configured or used
- you purchased several services in order to test them and keep only the preferred one
- you no longer need the service
- you did not use the service during the purchased period
- the service is incompatible with software, scripts, applications or configurations that were not listed as supported
- the problem was caused by your own configuration, content, software or actions
- access credentials were lost, disclosed or compromised due to your actions
- the service was suspended or terminated because of unlawful activity, abuse, non-payment or a violation of our Terms of Use
- the service expired because it was not renewed
- data was lost because you did not maintain an appropriate backup
- the request relates only to exchange-rate differences, bank fees or charges imposed by your payment provider
the issue is caused solely by a third-party system outside ProfDigital’s reasonable control and ProfDigital has provided the service for which it was responsible.
This section does not restrict any mandatory rights relating to defective or non-conforming services.
7. SSL Certificates, Licences and Third-Party Products
Some services require ProfDigital to purchase, register, issue or activate a product from a third-party supplier.
Examples may include:
- SSL certificates
- software licences
- control-panel licences
- dedicated IP resources
other individually issued digital products.
Once such a product has been issued, registered or activated, the associated payment may be non-refundable because the third-party cost may not be recoverable.
A refund may still be available if:
- the product was not issued
- the wrong product was issued due to ProfDigital’s error
- the product is materially defective
mandatory consumer law requires a refund.
8. Custom Configuration and Setup Services
Setup, migration, installation, administration and custom configuration work may become non-refundable once the work has started.
If the work is only partially completed, we may refund the portion relating to work that has not yet been performed.
No refund is normally available for completed work that was carried out in accordance with the agreed instructions.
9. Service Delivery Requests
Some ProfDigital services require the customer to contact our Sales or Support Team and provide the order number before delivery can be completed.
Unless another period is stated for a particular service, the initial delivery request should be submitted within one (1) month from the date of purchase.
Failure to contact us within this period does not automatically cancel the order and does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Requests made after the one-month period may be reviewed according to:
- current service availability
- technical requirements
- third-party costs
- current pricing
the time that has passed since the purchase.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
10. Consumer Right of Withdrawal
This section applies only where you are a consumer, meaning an individual purchasing services mainly for purposes outside a trade, business or profession.
10.1 Fourteen-day withdrawal period
A consumer may generally withdraw from a distance contract for services within fourteen (14) days from the date the contract was concluded, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must send ProfDigital a clear statement of withdrawal before the fourteen-day period expires.
10.2 Starting the service during the withdrawal period
You may ask ProfDigital to begin providing the service before the fourteen-day withdrawal period has ended.
If you withdraw after the service has begun but before it has been fully performed, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the part of the service already provided, where permitted by law.
10.3 Fully performed services
Where a service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal may end if:
- you expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period; and
you acknowledged that the right of withdrawal would be lost after full performance.
10.4 Digital content
For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost once supply begins if you:
- expressly consented to immediate supply
- acknowledged that this would cause the loss of the right of withdrawal; and
received the legally required confirmation.
10.5 Business customers
The statutory consumer right of withdrawal does not normally apply to customers purchasing services for business or professional purposes.
Nothing in this Policy removes any right that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Renewals
Unless automatic renewal was clearly disclosed and accepted during checkout, ProfDigital services are not automatically renewed.
If an unauthorised or incorrect renewal payment is taken, please contact us promptly.
A properly authorised renewal is treated as a new service period. Refund eligibility will depend on whether the renewed service has already started, been used or generated third-party costs.
12. Unauthorised Payments
If you believe that a payment was made without your permission, contact ProfDigital and your payment provider promptly.
We may request information needed to verify:
- the identity of the payer
- the order details
- the payment method
- the transaction
whether the service was delivered or used.
We will cooperate with the payment provider and refund a payment where the transaction is confirmed as unauthorised and a refund is appropriate under applicable law and payment rules.
13. How to Request a Refund
You may submit a refund request through the contact form or other contact methods published on the ProfDigital website.
Please include:
- your full name
- the email address used for the order
- the order number
- the date of payment
- the service purchased
- the payment method
- the reason for the request
any supporting screenshots or information.
Please write “Refund Request” at the beginning of your message.
Do not send complete payment-card details, passwords or private encryption keys.
We may ask for reasonable additional information to verify the order, the payer’s identity or the circumstances of the request.
14. Review and Processing of Refunds
We aim to review refund requests fairly and without unnecessary delay.
Submitting a request does not mean that the refund has been approved.
If a refund is approved:
- it will normally be returned to the original payment method
- we will not normally send the refund to a different person, card, wallet or bank account
- ProfDigital will normally initiate the refund within ten (10) business days after approval
- the payment provider or bank may require additional time to credit the funds
the amount received may differ slightly because of currency conversion performed by your bank or payment provider.
Where the original payment method is no longer available, we may request additional verification before considering another lawful refund method.
15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Please contact ProfDigital before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
If a payment is disputed or reversed, we may suspend the related order or service while the matter is reviewed.
A knowingly false or abusive chargeback may be treated as a violation of our Terms of Use.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising lawful rights through a bank, card issuer, payment provider, court or competent authority.
16. Affiliate Promotions and Third-Party Offers
Customers may reach ProfDigital through advertising, affiliate programmes, referral links or partner websites.
All ProfDigital services are purchased directly through the ProfDigital website.
A bonus, gift, discount or additional service offered independently by a third party is governed by that third party’s own conditions unless ProfDigital expressly confirms otherwise.
ProfDigital is not responsible for refunding a separate product or benefit supplied only by an affiliate, referral partner or other third party.
17. Model Withdrawal Notice
Consumers may use the following text to exercise the statutory right of withdrawal:
To River net s.r.o.
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the following service:

18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to:
- our services
- payment methods
- suppliers
- business processes
applicable law.
The current version will be published on the ProfDigital website with the date of the latest update.
Changes do not normally apply retroactively to refund requests submitted before the updated Policy took effect, unless required by law.
